Lunch does not have to be a boring layout of tasteless chicken breast and a small salad. Here are some of my lunches from this week:
Morningstar Lasagne with Sausage Style Crumbs
I love this! I get the taste and feel of lasagne without the fat. I will warn you that this lunch is higher in carbs than what I usually eat but it's soooo good, I don't care
Calories: 270
Total Fat: 6 grams
Total Carb: 41 grams
Fiber: 5 grams
Total Protein: 20 grams
Tyson Fully Cooked Seasoned Steak Strips (2 servings per bag)
Total Calories 140 (185 with sides)
Total Fat: 6 grams
Total Carb: 1 gram (10 with sides)
Fiber 0 (5 with sides)
Total Protein: 18 grams
I cook these quickly on the stove (use a near 0 fat spray and add a bit of Weber Seasonings Twisted Citrus & Garlic). Then I microwave some organic green beans (Del Monte makes some canned organic green beans). The green beans (1 can for 2 servings) add about 45 more calories, with 10 grams of carb of which 5 grams are fiber. There is about 1 gram of protein and 0 fat.
Morningstar Spicy Black Bean Burgers
1 box has 4 burgers. We eat 2 burgers per serving
Calories: 240 (with sides: 380)
Total Fat: 8 grams (10 with sides)
Total Carb: 26 grams (48 with sides)
Fiber: 8 grams (14 with sides)
Total Proten: 22 grams (24 with sides)
We eat these with about 2 Tbsp of Organic Salsa on them which is about 25 calories. No buns. Also I usually cook a can of organic corn (Del Monte canned organic) and this adds another 115 calories of which there is about 22 grams of carb (6 grams of fiber), 4 grams of protein and 1 gram of fat.
