I’m a big believer in the concept of Mastery.  I feel that much of my personal successes have come because I am committed to not just getting a job done but to learn how to do it as well as I can.  But there has been an area of my life in the past few years that I seemed to have no mastery over – in fact little control at all.  It was my physical fitness.

Let me explain…  About 5 years ago, I had a couple of different accidents that suddenly and dramatically curtailed what I was able to do physically.  Previously I had been a very active and fit person.  It took me a couple years to work through rehabilitation of the injuries and I was told (maybe I should say warned) that I really should not do more than an occasional walk.  As a result, the pounds started to pile on and I not only lost my fit figure – I got fat.  I was unhappy about how I looked and having turned 50 I wondered how the rest of my life was going to go.  I seemed to be on this physical downhill slide.

Since I’ve always believed that weakness or failure in one area of your life tends to pull down other areas of your life – even those that you seem to be doing well in – continuing down this path of poor physical health wasn’t acceptable for me.  Recently I had decided to see how much additional physical activity I could take on and started working out every morning with my 24 year old son Chris (see his Coach page here).  We incorporated some mixed run/walking with a little light weights and I was able to do this without problems with my spine injury.  I felt better but I didn’t lose more than a couple pounds and I still looked fat.

Then Chris saw an infomercial about P90X and asked me if I would be interested.  I was a bit cautious about my spine injury considering how intense the workouts looked but I figured I could modify the workouts where I needed to. So we began and it’s been the best thing I’ve done in years!  I am excited about how quickly I’m transforming and look forward to the new person I will be by the end of 90 days.

For those of you wondering if you can achieve good results with P90X, I am here to tell you that you can.  However, I’ve been working with Chris and the two of us have come up with our list of ‘must have’ supplements as well as diet tweaks that we know has accelerated our progress.  If you want more information on what we’ve done, leave me a question below – I’m happy to answer them!

P90X is the best thing I’ve done for myself in years.  You can see my transformation so you know I lost a ton of fat.  I love the way I look now and I feel more energetic and strong.

If I could wish one thing for those of you reading this is for you to feel the way I do everyday.  And I know you can if you get P90X and commit to doing the program.  And I will be there for you every step of the way so your results are as good or better than mine.  I mean I am a 50 year old woman with limitations and I got great results so imagine what you could do!
