INSANITY Review – Does Insanity Work?
Shaun T’s Insanity Workout
My Personal Review of Insanity
I didn’t really know what to expect when I ordered this. I mean I knew I’d get a high quality program from Beachbody but the message I got from the infomercial and the ads was that this program was really hard but would deliver super fast results. So with my usual skepticism, I started the 1st workout expecting it to be a good workout but not as extreme as the advertising would have you believe.
Boy oh boy was I wrong. Insanity is every bit as challenging as depicted. And after a handful of workouts I could see (and measure) the fat melting off my abs and upper thighs. This is totally awesome for a 51 year old woman! The workouts are much shorter than the P90X workouts which makes Insanity my workout of choice when my time gets limited.
When you get your box, you’ll get this very nice book that holds your DVDs. You also get the Insanity Elite Nutrition book (70 pages long) which has a lot of good recipes in it to help keep you eating right. And you get a calendar which shows you step by step what Insanity workout to do for no fail results. (Note – I have mixed it in with my last phase of P90X which seems to be an absolute killer duo program approach as I continue to build muscle and rip fat of my body.) The only thing I would have liked to see but didn’t get was a workout book that details each routine exercise by exercise and give me pointers on form such as what you get with the P90X program. But other than that, it’s a pretty perfect package.
NEW – This is one of the few places you can get the new Insanity Fast and Furious bonus workout! Shorter than the typical workout this one is great for when you are pressed for time.
Now Insanity isn’t for everyone. This program is not only high intensity , it’s high impact. If you are older or very overweight, the pounding you’ll take in your joints – especially your knees – could be too much for you. At 52, I’m pushing my limits doing it. However, if you are in reasonably good shape, this program will take your power, speed and endurance to a whole new level. And rip the flab right off of you doing so.
It also won’t build a lot of muscle. If you are a guy looking to develop a lean but more muscular look, P90X is the better choice for you. But if you are a runner looking for a workout to make you better or anyone who’s tired of poor results from hours on a treadmill or stationary bike, this is the heart pounding, sweat inducing workout for you.
I love doing Insanity – I really do – you will too. Are you ready to get ‘insane’ with your workouts? Are you ready to totally transform how you look and feel in 60 days or less? Then get serious and get Insanity today!
