My Personal Review of Insanity

I didn’t really know what to expect when I ordered this.  I mean I knew I’d get a high quality program from Beachbody but the message I got from the infomercial and the ads was that this program was really hard but would deliver super fast results.  So with my usual skepticism, I started the 1st workout expecting it to be a good workout but not as extreme as the advertising would have you believe.

Boy oh boy was I wrong.  Insanity is every bit as challenging as depicted.  And after a handful of workouts I could see (and measure) the fat melting off my abs and upper thighs.  This is totally awesome for a 51 year old woman!  The workouts are much shorter than the P90X workouts which makes Insanity my workout of choice when my time gets limited.

When you get your box, you’ll get this very nice book that holds your DVDs.  You also get the Insanity Elite Nutrition book (70 pages long) which has a lot of good recipes in it to help keep you eating right.  And you get a calendar which shows you step by step what Insanity workout to do for no fail results.  (Note – I have mixed it in with my last phase of P90X which seems to be an absolute killer duo program approach as I continue to build muscle and rip fat of my body.)  The only thing I would have liked to see but didn’t get was a workout book that details each routine exercise by exercise and give me pointers on form such as what you get with the P90X program.  But other than that, it’s a pretty perfect package.
