P90x Day 3 – Arms & Sholders plus Ab RipperX
Sep 7th, 2010 | By Coach Nancy | Category: P90X Transformation DiaryAfter thinking yesterday I was in WAY over my head on this, today’s workout restored my faith in myself and my ability to complete this program. I’m not saying that the arms and shoulder workout is easy – it isn’t – but it didn’t nearly break me (physically and emotionally) either.
And when I did the Ab workout I actually had progressed in what I was able to do from Day 1. Yeah!
I’ve been eating very clean with very few grain based or other starchy carbs. I am eating veggis and some lower sugar fruits (apples, pears and berries of all sorts) so it’s not a super low carb diet. I’ve taken out junk food so there isn’t a lot of bad fats or sugar in the diet. I’ve got a couple of tubs of protein powder (vanilla and chocolate and an orange cream). Post workout breakfast is a protein shake. This morning I started with vanilla and added strawberries and blueberries and some raspberry kefir (think yogurt smoothy here with probiotics). While a bit think for my sons’ taste, I loved it.
Tomorrow’s workout is yoga. This is a long workout – longer than the others. I’ve never been a fan of yoga but that is indicative of how much I probably need it. I dont’ stretch enough and my hamstrings can get tight. I’m sure the yoga will stretch me out.
