Getting Fit – Is It Really As Easy As Just Showing Up?

p90xtreme home fitness Getting Fit   Is It Really As Easy As Just Showing Up?My personal count down to start P90x is almost up.  I’ll be starting in 3 days.  But while I wait, I’m wondering about getting fit.  I mean is it really as easy as just showing up?

I decided to go with P90x for a number of reasons.  First, it seems to be a very comprehensive program with 12 DVD workouts.  And I don’t need to do any thinking, I’m given a schedule which outlines day by day what workout to do.  And it gets mixed up from time to time which I like.  There is a big focus on eating well also.  For an intense, muscle building program like P90x you need a lot of protein and, if you need to lose fat, reduce your starchy carb intake.  I think with a focus on meal composition and portion control, fat can be cut while muscle is built.

But with all this, I believe that there needs to be a bit more required than just showing up for the workouts.  I think you need to commit.  The P90x advertisements have a ‘Bring It’ slogan which I perceive is the call to give it your all.

So maybe you need to do more than just show up.  But with a proven program planned out for you, is commitment really that much to ask?  I don’t think so.
