P90X Round 3 – Fine Tuning

This last January, I was pretty pleased with the way I looked. I was into my 2nd round of P90X and was enjoying my new physique. But I figured there was more I could do so Chris and I kept at it. Now I look at my body now compared to then and continue to be amazed at what P90X can do for a body.
I’m into hybrid rotations of P90X and other programs and will be uploading what those are shortly. I don’t feel I’ll ever really outgrow P90X though. There is just something awesome about a program built around pull ups and push ups that can continue to challenge you.
If you are on the fence about P90X, just do it. And better yet, let me be your coach. Learn more about P90X(click here) and join me and thousands of others who have totally transformed their lives.

Hi Nancy,
I’m 29 and weigh 154lb. I’m interested in doing the p90x and insanity program. I don’t know which program to do first. Can I do both programs together and how?
Hi Michelle,
Definitely get started with P90X first. Why? To get the best transformation you need to build some lean mass. That’s what P90X does while it takes the fat off of you. Insanity is a very high intensity program that is not for people who have been couch potatoes. It also doesn’t build lean mass.
It’s not that P90X is for beginners because it also is an extreme program, but you can modify P90X to adjust to your present fitness level while you can’t do that with Insanity. Once you get past the first two months of P90X, you can start a hybrid program if you so desire. I have a schedule of a hybrid I did for awhile at http://www.pressplayfitness.com/members/m/articles/view/test. Ignore the 2nd Kettlebell workouts each day because that would be WAY too much for you while you are still in your first 90 days.
?I am 62 years old, and I am in fairly decent shape, but I am having problems loosing my gut. Do you think a workout video like Insanity or P90X is for me?
Hi Luis,
Do P90X if you want to lose your gut. My husband had a big gut and was out of shape when he started P90X and now wears a 30″ waist at age 53. P90X works so well because you add lean mass (muscle) while creating a negative calorie balance (increased exercise and reduced calories). In fact, recent research shows that resistance training burns fat for longer than even high intensity interval training post exercise. So you burn more fat after working out and you add muscle which raises your base level metabolism and has you burn more calories 24 hours a day. Be sure to check out my diet article at http://www.pressplayfitness.com/?p=2105. Eating right is really important.
