Feeling Muscle & Mental Confusion Today

I mentioned yesterday that Chris and I were on our 1st recovery week of our new HIIT training. Today we did Kenpo which we have not done for quite awhile and it showed. I noticed a clear slowness caused by having to spend more mental energy thinking about the moves as I was doing them than I used to. And both Chris and I really felt this workout in our upper back and triceps.
Keeping yourself a little off balance from a mental and muscle sense is good. It keeps you from getting too efficient at performing an exercise which translates to more progress per workout. And as Martha would say ‘that’s a good thing’.
